At TREND45, we’re all for supporting and protecting women’s rights. This November 1st, TREND45 showed the utmost support with their Day of the Dead event, with all proceeds going towards the RAINN foundation. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is one of the largest organizations fighting against sexual violence, working with women to serve justice and support victims with provided counseling. The initiative holds significant meaning to TREND45, and the company has been working with the organization since its early days.
In its origin, the company started locally in 2017, hosting events in Michigan. It wasn’t long before the company expanded into hosting international events. Since then, it has hosted events worldwide, developing connections and allowing creatives all over the world to meet and work together. By hosting events and bridging connections, TREND45 helps individuals grow their network and create friendships between people who may have never met otherwise. After the outbreak of COVID-19, international travel was no longer a viable option for the company, so TREND45 decided to go back to where it started, Detroit Michigan. “The creative scene in Detroit is powerful. Unlike many big cities, everyone knows everyone. This has allowed so many artists, musicians, photographers, and models alike to create unmatched art,” says Maya Ciechanowski, a TREND45 Correspondent. “The scene embodies high energy, communal love, and a unique style only found in the heart of Detroit.”
The event kicked off mid-afternoon in an airplane hangar, ensuring enough space to adhere to social distancing rules and regulations. “The world is dealing with COVID-19 right now, and so I thought the next best thing compared to an international event, would be bringing people together on a smaller scale, and that happens to be in an airplane hangar”, says Remy Lewbel, CEO of TREND45. With sponsors like ‘Beyond Juice’ and ‘Morgan Stanley’, and showcasing out of this world cars like, a Rolls Royce Phantom and Lamborghini Gallardo, the event gave all creators a special way to get back out there during this challenging time. Safety being of utmost importance, social distancing and masks were enforced and regulated, but nonetheless, guests were able to connect with each other to expand connections in the field and curate art for their professional portfolio. People mingled (6ft a part of course), with hot food, enjoying the view of luxurious vehicles provided graciously by many attendees, all while taking photos and capturing content within the vast space of the hangar. Colorful sets for photos were placed in the corners of the space, allowing for a fun opportunity to get some creative shots. There were also multiple raffles and giftbag goodies of sponsored products, with all proceeds and additional donations going to the RAINN foundation.
When asked why the organization holds so much meaning to the company, Lewbel stated, “The reason RAINN is super important to us is because they follow our brand guidelines. What they’re trying to achieve, and fight for aligns with how we want to impact this industry, trying to create a difference in the world.
Overall, the event was a massive success with over 150 guests and the appearance of twenty-five total luxury cars. Since March, experiences like this have been greatly limited, so this opportunity was a positive experience for everyone involved especially when it gives creators the opportunity to come together, all for a good cause. Given the conditions worldwide, TREND45 is doing everything possible to help support content creators and provide positive experiences to make this time of uncertainty a little bit easier to handle. Although international travel is still currently not accessible, the global changes across the globe have allowed TREND45 the opportunity to come back to where it started and give back to the community.
